Dispersion Capital, a venture capital firm based in San Francisco, has launched a $40 million fund to support the core Web3 infrastructure and address issues such as security and a lack of developers. The firm has already invested in 20 companies and aims to achieve a "transformational moment" for blockchain. The fund has received backing from both the Web2 and Web3 worlds, including Ripple and Faction Lightspeed. The firm's managing partner, Patrick Chang, believes that gamers and the gaming industry will drive the near-term mass adoption of Web3.
