Coleman Aerospace, a division of L-3 Communications, is an innovative, responsive supplier of systems engineering, systems integration, and payload launch services.

Coleman Aerospace grew from the Coleman Research Corporation (CRC) established in Orlando, Florida in 1980. The company's initial focus was to provide systems engineering and technical assistance services to government agencies and contractors on a variety of aerospace and defense programs. Coleman won its first major hardware development program in 1992 with the award of the Theater Missile Defense (TMD) Targets program. Under this contract, Coleman provided 25 threat-representative ballistic missiles to be used as targets to support TMD interceptor testing.
