Light Line Medical is a Medical device company developing novel visible light-based photo-disinfecting technologies.
Light Line Medical is a medical device company developing novel visible light-based therapeutic technologies to reduce device-associated infections. Founded in 2011, it is based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. The Light Line™ visible light phototherapy (VLP) system uses a non-UV light to disinfect catheters and reduce pathogens which cause urinary tract infections (CAUTI), bloodstream infections, ventilator associated pneumonia, and hemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis infections. This technology is translatable to several markets. It will first be put in off-the-shelf peritoneal dialysis (PD) catheters to prevent PD-related infections, including peritonitis, next in Foley catheters then endotracheal tubes. These products are pre-FDA approval, and are currently undergoing testing.
