Established in 2013, Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) is a global business development program offered by Canada's Trade Commissioner Service.

CTAs empower Canadian high-potential, high-growth tech companies that have a market-ready technology or product to explore global growth opportunities. We help companies in three main sectors of activity: cleantech, digital industries and information and communications technologies (ICT), and life sciences and digital health. We have CTAs located in thriving tech ecosystems around the world: Boston, New York City, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Mexico City, Berlin and Munich, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo, Singapore, London (2021) and New Delhi (2022).

CTAs help participants maximize their time in the market and provide them with the most relevant and impactful support possible. We tailor each program to the realities of the local market. There are no participation costs associated with the CTA program, aside from travel and accommodation expenses.

While CTAs vary in length and in format (virtual or in-market), all participating companies benefit from:
