Adam specializes in the effective application of data and analysis to improve products and transform large operations. At GV, he guides portfolio companies on data analysis and helps identify disruptive startups in the big data and analysis space.Over the past 15 years, Adam has applied statistics, machine learning, and big data to solve problems in public health, engineering, finance, and most recently, online advertising. Adam joined Google in 2006 to direct a world-class team of statisticians focused on building models for predicting advertiser behavior and on automated model building and validation.Prior to joining Google, Adam worked at Mathsoft, which developed mathematical software tools for mechanical and civil engineers. Adam received his Ph.D. in statistics from the University of Texas at Austin and was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, where he focused on the application of statistics to public health and authored several highly-cited papers.
