Akshay Sabhikhi is the Chief Operating Officer at Cognitive Scale. Akshay is responsible for identifying, incubating, and launching innovative cognitive solutions. A successful serial entrepreneur, Akshay has a passion for building disruptive software products and creating companies that define and dominate new markets.

Recently, Akshay was the global leader for IBM Smarter Care where successfully led IBM’s entry into a new market at the intersection of social and health. In this role, Akshay also led the acquisition of Curam Software. Earlier, Akshay was responsible for establishing and leading IBM into the new Smarter Commerce initiative, which is now a multi-billion dollar business for IBM.

As an entrepreneur, Akshay also established and led product management organizations in fast growth venture funded software companies such as Trilogy and Webify. Akshay has an unparalleled track record of successfully creating and launching industry-specific products in healthcare, insurance, financial services and retail.

Akshay earned a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the Acton School of Entrepreneurship.
