Alvaro Abella is a Managing Partner of BECO Capital, a MENA-focused venture capital investment firm, and sits on the board of several of BECO’s investee companies. Alvaro has been active in the investment space since 2006 in the MENA region, having joined Gulf Capital, an Abu Dhabi-based private equity and asset management firm at inception. He has worked across the region in transaction execution, post-acquisition and advisory roles, including interim management. Alvaro also worked as a management consultant in the TMT space for companies such as Booz&Co and Oliver Wyman throughout Europe, the Americas and the Middle East. He has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and is fluent in four languages.
