Ben Nunney helps run European Marketing for Twilio, working out of the company’s new European office in London, UK.Prior to joining Twilio, Ben was both a Technical Evangelist and Cloud Specialist at Microsoft. During his time at the software giant, he took responsibility for the company’s UK student evangelist programme, Microsoft Student Partners and executing the Imagine Cup competition locally. He also boosted the profile of students and startups within the company by mentoring young technologists, startups and entrepreneurs, as well as co-hosting podcast The Geekly Chronicles, aimed at younger founders and technology enthusiasts.Prior to his time at Microsoft, Ben was co-founder of ‘Enviromatch’; creating an application designed to deliver educational content to young people, helping raise awareness of environmental issues, and which won national rounds of the 2008 Imagine Cup competition. Ben was also a co-ordinator for social-media-for-social-good event Twestival, taking responsibility for planning and running Reading’s local chapters in both November 2009 and March 2010.A keen writer and speaker, Ben is a regular columnist for Magnate Magazine, as well as a presenter of his long running podcast. His previous speaking commitments have included guest lectures in technology and marketing at a number of UK universities, Young Rewired State, Apps World, Future of Web Apps, and hundreds of technical, marketing, and presentation skills workshops.
