David Moehring is CEO of IonQ, an early-stage company developing quantum computing for commercial applications. He joined IonQ from the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), an organization responsible for leading high-risk, high-payoff research relevant to the US Intelligence Community. As a Senior National Intelligence Service Officer, David’s high-performance computing portfolio included a worldwide quantum computing research program, where he directly interacted with all of the major players in the quantum computing space. President Obama awarded David with the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers in January 2017.
