Ed Farrell is the CFO of Cipher Mining.

Prior to joining Cipher Mining, Ed held several senior positions at AllianceBernstein , L.P., including Controller, Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He brings to Cipher Mining more than 35 years of financial administration and leadership experience in the financial services industry, including at Nomura Securities International and Salomon Brothers. Ed started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Arbor Realty Trust, a publicly traded REIT where he is a member of both their Audit and Corporate Governance Committees.

He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University.
