Eric joined Thomas, McNerney & Partners in 2007. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Managing Director of HealthCare Ventures, a health care focused venture capital firm, from 2001-2007. Eric currently sits on the board of Intuity Medical, Inc. and InVitae Corporation (formerly Locus Development, Inc.). His prior board seats have included Amarin, Oriel Therapeutics, Inc. (acquired by Novartis AG), Virdante Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (acquired by Momenta Pharmaceuticals), CardioKine, Inc. (acquired by Cornerstone Therapeutics), SkinMedica, Inc. (acquired by Allergan), Vaxinate, Inc., Metaphore, and 3-D Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Johnson & Johnson). Eric was CEO of Genovo, Inc. (acquired by Targeted Genetics), a biopharmaceuticals company that specialized in gene delivery and gene regulation. He was also executive director of TheraTech, Inc. (acquired by Watson Pharmaceuticals). Eric was a Vice President and Managing Director of Philadelphia Ventures from 1992 to 1997. He is a member of the Board of Overseers of the Tufts School of Medicine and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Eric received his Medical Degree with honors from Harvard Medical School.
