Flavio Dias is a Partner at 500 Startups and a member of Via Varejo's executive board, leading the Online Business Unit since October 2016. Via Varejo is the number 1 retail company in Brazil and it is 3x bigger than the second one. Previously, he held an executive position in the group, as CEO of CNova, a Nasdaq-listed online retailer controlled by Casino and the second largest company in the segment with over USD 3 Bi in GMV. Working with e-commerce and digital business for 18 years he was the founder and CEO of Walmart.com in Brazil and also headed the e-commerce division of Magazine Luiza, the second largest non-food retailer in the country. More recently, he led the creation of the first Brazilian 100% digital retail bank, called Banco Original.
