Masson was appointed Chairman of SEMAFO’s Audit Committee in 2007 and is a member of the Environmental, Health & Safety and Sustainable Development Committee. He spent 36 years with the firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Chartered Professional Accountants, including 25 years as partner. His clientele included large national and international companies, some of which operated in the mining sector. Masson is a member of the Board of Directors of Royal Nickel Corporation.

He obtained a bachelor of commerce degree and a diploma in general accounting from HEC Montréal. A chartered professional accountant, Masson is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
