Hiro Shimizu (Tokyo) joined KKR Capital Markets in 2013. Prior to joining KKR, he was a Managing Director and Head of the Financial Institutions Group within the Financing Group at Goldman Sachs Japan. He has extensive experience in marketing alternative products across a broad spectrum of credit, equity and real estate products, which he marketed to institutional clients during his 14 year tenure at Goldman. While at Goldman, he served as the Head of Credit and Alternative Sales within FICC as well as Head of Distribution for Japan within the Special Situations Group. Prior to Goldman, he spent 2 years at Moody's Investors Service in New York where he was an analyst in the Financial Institutions Group, covering investment banks and non-bank financial companies. Mr. Shimizu holds a BA in Economics from Vassar College.
