A 22-year veteran of the travel industry, Jones' diverse experience at Sabre Holdings® equips him to accelerate Sabre Airline Solutions' plans to be the world's leading Software-as-a-Service business.Prior to his role at Sabre Airline Solutions, Jones served as Travelocity Global's president and CEO where he oversaw a portfolio of online travel businesses, including Travelocity, lastminute.com in Europe and ZUJI in Asia Pacific. During his tenure, the business expanded in new growth areas including media, Travelocity Partner Network and international. He oversaw the rollout of the company's global hotel distribution platform and international shopping platform, and expanded the company's presence in Latin America and India, in addition to strengthening its Europe and Asia businesses.Prior to that, Jones held a number of executive roles at Sabre including senior vice president and chief operating officer for Sabre Travel Network® and Sabre Airline Solutions, where he oversaw airline supplier initiatives and global customer support. Jones also led Sabre Travel Network in North America and served as senior vice president and controller for Sabre Holdings.Jones began his career in travel with American Airlines in 1988 and held a variety of finance positions including financial controller for the airline's European and Pacific airport, sales and reservations operations.A big sports fan, Jones enjoys cheering for the Green Bay Packers football team, and he also follows baseball and, when abroad, cricket. He is an avid skier and especially enjoys the slopes of Park City, Utah, with his wife and two daughters.Jones earned a master's degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Wisconsin.
