Jason is currently responsible for leading investments at Nimbus Synergies, which leads early-stage financings in innovative and complementary digital health companies in British Columbia. Nimbus has made nine investments across five innovative startups in the last 18 months. He also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Alavida Health and as a Board Director of Blue Mesa Health.

Prior to Nimbus, he was head of Business Development at Aquinox Pharmaceuticals, a fast growing NASDAQ-listed biotechnology company, where he lead M&A, licensing, IP, and, outsourcing management. He was integrally involved in the company’s successful NASDAQ IPO as well as initiating a $155 million partnership with the Japanese pharmaceutical company Astellas Pharma.

Jason earned a B.Sc. in Microbiology & Immunology with a minor in Biotechnology from McGill University and an MBA specializing in Finance and Strategic Management from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He was born and raised in Vancouver where he currently lives with his wife and son but has also lived and worked in Montreal, Toronto, and Costa Rica, and has travelled much of the world.
