Jean-Luc Butel joined SGInnovate as Board Member in 2017.Jean-Luc Butel is corporate vice president and president of Baxter's international operations. Butel joined Baxter in February 2012.

Prior to joining Baxter, Butel held various leadership positions with Medtronic, Inc., most recently as Executive Vice President and Group President, International.

Prior to joining Medtronic in 2003, he served as President of Independence Technology, a Johnson & Johnson company, after serving in a variety of leadership roles at the Becton Dickinson Company from 1991 to 1999.

Butel serves as a member of the Singapore Economic Development Board as well as the board of International Partnership for Innovative Healthcare Delivery, a non-profit organization that looks at innovative healthcare delivery needs.

Butel earned his B.A. in international affairs from George Washington University, and his M.B.A. in international business from the American School of International Management (Thunderbird).
