Jennifer Scott Fonstad Considered one of the most senior women in venture today, Ms. Fonstad invests broadly in early-stage companies with recent investments in mobile applications, consumer and enterprise application services, and energy management. Investment successes include Athenahealth (NASDAQ: ATHN), Lumenos (acquired by Wellpoint, NYSE: WLP), Achex (acquired by First Data, NYSE: FDC), and NetZero (NASDAQ: UNTD). Other recent investments include Flurry, iCiX, Intematix, Nanostring, Stravus, and UrbanSitter.

Jennifer joined Draper Fisher Jurvetson as a Kauffman Fellow in 1997 becoming a partner in 1998. She is currently a Managing Director of the firm. She began her career with Bain and Company after spending a year teaching math to high school students in sub-Sahara Africa. She graduated Cum Laude from Georgetown University and holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School.

In her spare time, Jennifer focuses on her family and community. She serves on the Board of Trustees for Castilleja School, the pre-eminent girls' middle school and high school in Northern California, and chairs the Somaly Mam Foundation board, an organization focused on ending sex slavery for underage girls around the world. She and her family built the first LEED Platinum-certified home in Silicon Valley and Jennifer can be found running around on weekends with one or all of her four children.
