Jieming is currently a board advisor and independent consultant, advising various start-ups working in enterprise infrastructure and cloud SaaS technologies. He focuses on helping entrepreneurs to transform an idea into a commercially viable product definition, to validate through customer discovery processes, to raise necessary funds to jumpstart a company, and to execute on the product development/delivery strategy.

An entrepreneur himself, Jieming was the CEO and co-founder of AlephCloud Systems, an innovator in cloud data management and security, raising multiple rounds of investments, achieving early customer tractions.

Prior to AlephCloud, he was a chief technologist at HP StorageWorks, responsible for driving the converged infrastructure and cloud storage strategies.

Jieming joined HP from Xsigo Systems (acquired by Oracle) as the Vice President of Engineering. He was also the Vice President of Engineering at LogLogic (acquired by TIBCO)

He was one of the pioneer engineers in the Fibre Channel technology, developing prototypes and standards in its infancy. This led to his joining Brocade Communication Systems in mid-90s where he took increasing responsibilities and became a senior executive in engineering and technology.
