Joe Klein is Billtrust’s Chief Information Security Officer, responsible for the cybersecurity program and protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data. Skilled at building cybersecurity programs and measurably maturing security posture, he brings over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity management and strategic planning.

Joe previously served as Interim CISO at EnerSys, where he managed a global security team, architected a comprehensive security program, and drove NIST 800-171 compliance. He also served as Managing Partner of Secure Strategies, LLC, a boutique cybersecurity consulting firm that specializes in virtual CISO consulting services.

Joe holds a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity from the University of Delaware, a Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Drexel University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from American University. He also holds certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
