Laina Miller is Investment Manager at Validity Finance, LLC. Laina is a trial lawyer with 16 years of experience representing businesses and individuals in complex commercial, oil and gas, business competition, and catastrophic injury litigation.

Prior to joining Validity, Laina was a principal at Shipley Snell Montgomery LLP, one of Houston’s premier litigation boutique firms, and she litigated disputes on behalf of several of Houston’s leaders in the energy, maritime, and health care sectors. In private practice, she gained significant first- and second-chair trial experience and developed substantial expertise in the area of electronic discovery.

Laina earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where she was an associate editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. She holds a B.A. from the University of Texas Plan II Honors Program, where she was selected for membership in Phi Beta Kappa. Laina served as a law clerk to Judge John D. Rainey of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division.
