have over 20 years post-PhD leadership experience and demonstrated innovation in the life science sector; including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and diagnostics; I have significant C-level experience in Pharma R&D investment, research management, IP creation, protection & commercialisation, drug development, business strategy development, business development, company start-ups, alliance management, M&A activity and venture capital.

I was founder and CEO of HiberGen, participated in securing approval of three marketed products while with Serono (Gonal-F® Rebif® & Luveris®) and am an inventor on >80 patent applications while at Genetics Institute/Wyeth(Pfizer). I helped build the critical mass and quality of the Irish research ecosystem while Director of Lifesciences at SFI, with NIBRT and as Venture Partner with the Growcorp Group and ARCH Venture Partners. I am currelty co-founder and Director at GMI.
