Mikael Lundin (MD) is one of the founders and a board member at Fimmic. Mikael works as the Chief Technology Officer at Fimmic and he is a researcher in Translational Genomics at Finnish Institute for Molecular Medicine (FIMM), which is part of University of Helsinki.Mikael can be considered one of the pioneers of web-based virtual microscopy and has launched the first practical applications already in 2002. He has published a series of central studies in virtual microscopy together with key opinion leaders in related fields. Mikael is fluent in a wide range of programming languages and techniques, and he has a special interest in database design and imaging.Between 2008 and 2012 Mikael represented Finland in the EURO-TELEPATH (Anatomic Telepathology Network) COST Action.
