Prior to Kleiner Perkins, Nate was CRO & Head of Business at August Home, Inc. a leader in Smart Home Access where he secured August commercial growth with market leaders and partners such as Airbnb, Walmart, Amazon, Honeywell, Comcast, and Google/Nest. Nate was also CMO & Head of Business at Greenwave Systems and Senior Director of Marketing & Business Development at Google subsidiary Motorola Mobility (following their acquisition of 4Home where he was CMO & Head of Business). Earlier in his career, he was a Strategy & Finance Analyst in the Digital Home Group of Intel Corp.

Nate is an active angel-investor and board advisor to companies including Shoof Technologies, Matterport, Roost, Greenwave, Cirrent, DataScience, August, and Savor Labs. He is also a board advisor to the Internet of Things Consortium, a mentor to Techstars, and a volunteer for the Peninsula Velo Bicycle Club and Baywood Elementary.

Nate earned a MBA from The UCLA-Anderson School of Management and a Bachelors in Communication Science from The University of Connecticut. He is named in several Communications Infrastructure patents, entrepreneurial, and comfortable building cross-functional teams introducing products under significant market uncertainty.
