Oriol started his career as a researcher at CITCEA-UPC, developing solutions for decentralized energy generation in African rural areas. After graduating from Energy Engineering, Oriol seeked for further education in the fields of Smarts Cities and Power Systems at both the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (KTH) and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). In 2016 he joined the team of the cleantech accelerator InnoEnergy. There, Oriol directed and produced the first online educational program on Blockchain in the energy sector. Shortly after, he joined Grid Singularity and the freshly formed Energy Web Foundation, where he held multiple positions. Oriol currently serves as Head of Business Development at the Energy Web Foundation. He is in charge of establishing strategic partnerships with energy stakeholders, and managing the growth of the EWF ecosystem.
