Paul Yang is the President & CEO of the China Development Financial Holding Corporation (the “Group”), a listed company in Taipei with US$23.8 billion in assets and US$5.8 billion in shareholders' equity, the Group is one of Asia's largest merchant banks engaging in the Principal Investment, Global Capital Markets, Corporate and Investment Banking, and Securities.

Paul is responsible for all the business divisions of the Group, and runs directly the Group's Principal Investment Division, with activities ranging from early stage ventures, growth capital, special situations, and funds investments. The Group began its principal investments since its inception in 1959, and they are still the cornerstones of the Group, accounting for one-third of the Group's consolidated profits. To-date, the Group's investment portfolio consists of US$2.5 billion in more than 250 portfolio companies and 35 private equity and venture capital partnerships, making the Group one of the largest principal investors in the Asia region.

Prior to joining the Group, Paul was the Managing Director and Head for Private Equity and Mezzanine Finance at DBS Bank. Paul started his career with Goldman Sachs and the Boston Consulting Group.

Paul received his MS/BS degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT, and MBA degree from Harvard University.

Paul is one of the governors of China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA) and the Vice Chairman of Taiwan Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Council.
