Qi Ji is the co-founder of Ctrip.com and served as the Chairman of the company.



He graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering in Shanghai Jiaotong University with a Master’s Degree in Robotics.



Qi started his career as a Sales and Marketing Manager of Shanghai Yangtze River Computer Technology Service Corporation, where he worked from 1992 to 1994.



Qi was appointed regional GM for East China Division at Beijing Zhonghua Yinghua Intelligence System Company.



Qi co-founded Ctrip with Jianzhang Liang, Nanpeng Shen, and Min Fan in May 1999.



In 2002 Qi founded Home Inns & Hotels Management Inc.



In 2005 Qi founded China Lodging Group and served as CEO of the company. He also set up Rexon investment company and served as CEO of the company later that year.
