Ravi Penmetsa is the vice chairman and managing director of [Gland Pharma](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/gland-pharma), a research-focused organization continuously developing products for the Indian and global pharmaceutical markets. He was engaged in hospital-based practice in the U.S.A. for seven years at East Carolina University School of Medicine, before joining Gland Pharma as executive director in 1992.

Penmetsa is a member of the International Leadership Forum and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering. He holds an MBBS from Osmania University, India and Science of Medicine degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine, U.S.A.
