Robert Youngjohns serves as Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Autonomy / Information Management business unit, within HP Software. In this role, he is responsible for driving the "meaning-based computing" mission to enable companies to analyze and draw business value from unstructured information. Known for being a technology evangelist, Youngjohns has more than 30 years of sales, marketing, strategic business development and general management experience in the technology industry. He joins HP from Microsoft where he was most recently president of Microsoft North America. Before he joined Microsoft, Youngjohns was president and CEO of Callidus Software, a $120 million public company, where he initiated the company's transition from traditional enterprise software to SaaS (Software as a Service). Prior to that, he spent 10 years at Sun Microsystems, where he had a variety of leadership positions in sales and general management both regionally and globally. Youngjohns also had a successful 18-year career at IBM, holding key leadership roles from deep technology specialization to general management. Youngjohns holds a Master's Degree with Honors in Physics and Philosophy from Oriel College, Oxford University. He will be based in Sunnyvale, California at the Moffett Towers.
