Dr. Panem has extensive experience in life science and healthcare venture capital. She has been Managing Partner at Cross Atlantic Partners since 2000.

Previously, she was President of Vector Fund Management; Vice President and Portfolio Manager for the Oppenheimer Global BioTech Fund; and Vice President, Salomon Brothers Venture Capital.

Previously she was Science and Public Policy Fellow in economics studies at The Brookings Institution and assistant professor of pathology at the University of Chicago. Dr. Panem received as B.S. in Biochemistry and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Chicago.

Dr. Panem has served on numerous public and private company Boards including Martek Biosciences(NASDAQ:MATK), IBAH Pharmaceuticals (IBAH), Confluent Surgical and Molecular Informatics. She currently serves on the Boards of Acorda Therapeutics (NASDAQ:ACOR), MDx Medical (Vitals.com) and Labcyte.
