Thomas Hilboldt joined HSBC as Asia-Pacific Head of Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals Research in April 2012; he is based in Hong Kong. Previously Tom was Head of Regional Oil and Petrochemical Research at a leading Korean securities firm and Head of Sales and Research at a Thai brokerage. He has also been Head of Asian Oil and Gas/Energy Research at several global investment banks from 1996 to 2006. Tom has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Vermont, and an MBA from New York University. He is also a CFA charter holder.
