Todd Graves is senior vice president, engineering and technology for Allegion. With more than 25 brands sold in almost 130 countries across the globe, Allegion specializes in security around the doorway and beyond: everything from residential and commercial locks, door closer and exit devices, steel doors and frames to access control and workforce productivity systems. Todd is responsible for driving both product and process innovation across Allegion’s global business.Prior to Allegion spinning off from Ingersoll Rand, Todd was vice president, engineering and technology of Ingersoll Rand’s Security Technologies business since February 2012.Before joining Ingersoll Rand, Todd served as vice president of engineering for ClearEdge Power, a cutting-edge manufacturer of fuel cells for stationary applications. Prior to that, he was division vice president of Unmanned Aircraft Systems engineering at AAI Corporation, an operating unit of Textron.Earlier, Todd held a variety of positions at the General Electric Company in an engineering leadership capacity. He started at GE as a design engineer in the company’s Appliances business where he worked on the microwave oven and air conditioning product lines. In this role, Todd developed the Advantium oven, later becoming a six sigma master black belt and the technology manager of the global products engineering team. Subsequently, at GE’s Global Research Center, Todd managed a research and development portfolio for three GE businesses. In his final role at GE, Todd led engineering for the video surveillance, intrusion detection, and real estate products at GE Security.Todd began his career as a U.S. Air Force officer working on turbine engine technologies and the global positioning system (GPS).He received bachelors and masters degrees in aerospace engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
