She was a Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer at GSA Management, LLC, where she developed and implemented its brand identity and marketing strategy. By 1983, Ms. Jones-Potter’s strong ties to family and community drew her back to her home and to the DuPont Company where she spent 17 years solidifying her place as a pillar of the Delaware business community. She served as an Executive Vice President at Bank of America before launching Jones-Potter and Associates. She got her first taste of life in public service in 1996 while taking part in an executive loan program from DuPont while serving as the City of Wilmington’s Finance Director for an 18 month term. As the first woman to play this role, Ms. Jones-Potter oversaw the collection of $2.34 million in delinquent parking tickets and increased city revenues by $1.3 million dollars.
