Claudio Nessi joined NeoMed in June 2001 and became a partner in 2004.

He has been involved in the creation and early financing of numerous companies in the health care field and has served on the board of directors of Axovan prior to its acquisition by Actelion and PregLem until it was acquired by Gedeon Richter.

He became a director of Endosense in 2005 when he co-led the Series A financing round of the company. He is also currently a director of Kuros Biosurgery and Creabilis. Nessi has completed postdoctoral research work at the Max Planck Institute, Munich, and the University of Connecticut.

He received his master’s degree in business administration from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam, and completed a Ph.D. in genetics at the University of Pavia, Italy.
